This is the Code of Conduct followed by the Cats of the Akatsuki Cat Clan. It has changed with each Leader, beginning with Deidara's original and most severe version and going through Miko and Taiyou's reign. This is the current version, older rules are below.
1. The Motto of the Akatsuki Cat Clan is 'Strength. Respect. Loyalty. Obediance.'
2. All kits remain in their Mother's Den until they are weaned. Tom-kits who have Fathers than move into their Father's Den where they train with him until they prove themselves, in training and/or battle, worthy of having their own Den. Daughters and Father-less sons remain in the Den with their Mother until they are worthy of their own Den.
3. No cat may Mate or take a Mate until they have proven themselves and have a Den of their own.
4. No prey-pile is kept. Each cat must provide for at least themself and their Mate and/or kits. This rule may be suspended during times of trial, and during the coldest moons of Leaf-Bare.
5. During Leaf-Bare all cats abandon their individual Dens and live communally to ensure the survival of all during the harsh weather the Akatski Lands experience in late Leaf-Fall, Leaf-Bare, and early New-Leaf.
6. Each cat must fend for him or herself one they reach the age of having their own Den. All cats must be capable hunters and fighters.
7. All Akatsuki Cats must continue to train throughout their lives.
8. All Kits are raised and trained communally. They are the future of the Akatsuki Clan and the responsibility of every Akatsuki Cat.
9. There may or may not be an official Healer within the Akatsuki Cat Clan at any given time. Either way, all cats are expected to have knowledge of healing and herbs and be capable of healing themselves, their Mate, and their kits.
10. Treat all ClanMates as though they are your family. Treat all kits as your own, and all ClanMates as your Brothers and Sisters. Treat all Elder Cats as your parents.
11. Loyalty belongs to Clan and Leader above all else.
